If the rumours are true, it seems like Capcom are set to release another Resident Evil title on the Nintendo 3DS later this year. A now removed article spotted by Nintendo World Report on Digital Spy suggested the game will be titled Resident Evil: Degeneration-Damnation-Downfall 3D. We expect that’s a working title, otherwise that is just incredibly long and strange! According to the article, Degeneration and Damnation refer to the two films that will be included on the cartridge, whereas Downfall is the actual game.

The PC version (which is currently in beta form) features a store that lets players purchase new items with the in-game currency that you earn while playing through the game and also features the option to buy “Ghost Coins” which can be purchased with real currency. A source close to the site has revealed that the Wii U version of the game will be almost identical to its PC counterpart in terms of its in-game purchases feature

Posted February 28, 2012 by Ben Strauss The studio behind God of War: Ghost of Sparta to the PSP, Ready at Dawn, has revealed that they are working on a next-generation console title. The sixteen listings are looking for everything from programmers to artists and animators, all with the intention to work on an as-of-yet named action adventure title. "Ready at Dawn is hiring. We're looking for exceptional candidates to help develop an exciting new IP for a next-generation home console," says the studio in an update to their site . There is no word on exactly what game is being developed, and for what console. Microsoft and Sony continue to deny that a new console will be revealed this year, only that Nintendo is showing off the Wii U. Ready at Dawn has primarily been working on the PSP, which could be interpreted as a project for the PS Vita. Ben is a recent graduate of Xavier University.

by Seb Parker , posted on 27 February 2012 / 23,121 Views It may have taken a while for the PS Vita to arrive on western shores, with an unfortunate delay from the lucrative holiday season into the less than desirable launch month of February and one full year after Nintendo's 3DS debut the Vita has its work cut out, alas it's finally here. With the PlayStation Vita now officially available in all major territories we can reveal first week sales and how they compare to the 3DS and last gen portables. Due to a staggered launch in the USA, first week sales include the first edition bundle (70k units) that released February 15th, one week before the official launch

Pokemon Black and White 2 has today been confirmed by the games director, Junichi Masuda. Fans of the Pokemon series knew that an announcement regarding the popular series was immanent after Masuda recently announced that he would indeed be unveiling something Pokemon related this weekend but many fans expected the announcement to be with regard to a different colour in the series (i.e Pokemon Grey) and a Nintendo 3DS release in the series but this wasn’t the case unfortunately. This is the first time in the series history that a sequel to an already released colour has been confirmed for release rather than a new colour to the series

Nintendo is pushing their console out the door earlier than the competition, in no small part because they desperately need a new console to inject life into their earnings reports . The Wii U also sets the tone for this console generation, even if it isn't going to meet some people's expectations .

Posted February 22, 2012 by David Radd A game called Pokemon Yellow recently launched on the App Store, “developed” by a company called Home of Anime. Before the $0.99 app was pulled, it rose all the way to number 2 on the paid apps charts. Despite numerous reader reviews complaining that the app crashed soon after launching, it was estimated that it made over $10,000 before it was removed from the App Store

The impending launch of the iPad 3 ( rumored for March 7) so close to the US launch of the Sony PlayStation Vita immediately leads to the question: Are these two devices competing? Some would say no; the PS Vita is intended to be a game console primarily, with some other uses and capabilities, while the iPad 3 (as with the current iPad 2) is a general purpose device that also happens to play games. That's an abstract analysis; in the real world most people don't have the money to casually spend $250 or $300 on a game device, or $500 or more on a tablet

Posted February 20, 2012 by Ben Strauss Nintendo has much to celebrate, now that their latest handheld console has hit over 5 million units sold in Japan, as said by Media Create. The news means that it took the 3DS a full year to hit 5 million total units, beating out the DS by four weeks and the GBA by six. The 3DS was marred by many problems at launch, starting out particularly slow thanks to a low amount of first-party and third-party content offerings. The release of many games such as Super Mario 3D Land and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D has helped sales surge remarkably over the past 12 weeks. The figures from Media Create and posted to Andriasang are for actual sales figures from retailer to consumers. Ben is a recent graduate of Xavier University.
