Nintendo and Sega have come together to announce Sonic: Lost World which will be coming to the Wii U and 3DS.

This was revealed at today’s Nintendo Direct presentation and Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has described it as an action adventure platforming game.

Only one screenshot was shown at today’s presentation (can be seen as the featured image at the top) and more details will be revealed before next month’s E3.

Laurent Fischer, MD of European marketing and PR stated:

“We’re delighted to be forming this new partnership with SEGA, and bringing new games in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise to Nintendo systems, We hope fans are as excited as we are when more details will be shown closer to E3.”
