Overview
There are three games in the top 40 to be in their final week, Dead Space 3 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS) and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (PS3). As a reminder the Pro data is back up, which means that I am taking requests again for games outside the top 20.
Four games have 200,000 or more pre-orders, up from two last week, and the top 15 has 100,000 or more pre-orders, up from 14 last week. Four games added 20,000 or more, up from two last week and nine added 10,000 or more, up from five last week.
Games in Final Week Before Launch
Dead Space 3 (X360) added 64,169 pre-orders for a grand total of 231,684. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 300,000 to 400,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 0.8 million and 1.0 million units lifetime in the US.

Dead Space 3 (PS3) added 34,167 pre-orders for a final total of 174,502. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 225,000 to 300,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 0.6 million and 0.8 million units lifetime in the US.

Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS) added 34,167 pre-orders for a grand total of 174,502. Expect first week sales in the USA to be in the 225,000 to 300,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 600,000 and 800,000 units lifetime in the US.
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (PS3) added 10,796 pre-orders for a final total of 115,292. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 150,000 to 200,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 400,000 million and 600,000 units lifetime in the US.
Major Performers in the U.S. – Week Ending February 9
The Xbox 360 and PlayStation versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, as well as Halo 4 (X360), are expected to remain relatively flat.
Ninokuni: Shiroki Seihai no Joou (PS3) sales are expected to drop to around 25,000 units in its third week on sale.
Overall hardware sales are expected to increase slightly due to the new releases. The 3DS is expected to have the biggest boost, anywhere between 10 to 15 percent, while the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 should be up between five and 10 percent.
Other Hot Games – In Order of Release
God of War: Ascension (PS3) added 12,542 pre-orders, down from 14,035 last week, for a total of 195,863. The game is 109,000 pre-orders behind God of War III. The game is six weeks away from launch in the USA, March 12, 2013.
Gears of War: Judgment (X360) added 9,785 pre-orders, up from 8,575 last week, for a total of 92,431. The game has fallen 934,000 pre-orders behind Gears of War III. The game is seven weeks away from launch in the USA, March 12, 2013.
Bioshock Infinite (X360) added 9,443 pre-orders, down slightly from 9,455 last week, for a total of 286,115. Bioshock Infinite (PS3) added 4,512 pre-orders, down from 5,420 last week, for a total of 173,798. The game is eight weeks away from launch in the USA, March 26, 2013.
Notable mentions: Grand Theft Auto V (X360) added 4,847 pre-orders for a total of 235,089. Grand Theft Auto V (PS3) added 4,298 pre-orders for a total of 202,755. StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm (PC) added 11,054pre-orders for a total of 196,085.
Requests: Rayman Legends (WiiU) added 1,089 pre-orders for a total of 22,385. Pandora’s Tower (Wii) added 2,634 pre-orders for a total of 5,699. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate (3DS) added 1,215 pre-orders for a total of 3,991.
